Pleasant nose. Sweet red fruit at the front, nicely palate-covering, enjoyable medium-long finish. Seemed a bit too jammy at first but mellowed nicely. A bit of spice at the back.

The wine looks inky colored and the legs are slow. It smells like red currant, cherry And other dark berries. It tastes like cherry, jam and prune. The body is medium/full and has silky texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has low acidity and medium tannin.
This wine is fantastic, a wonderful silky smooth wine! Very well balanced, a great red for those who love a smooth wine with many textures and flavors. Definitely buying more.

July 2020 Derek and son, Colby, have the BIGGEST HEARTS! Thank you <3
First sip - about 60F - tannins, very tart fruit (cranberries?), dry First pairing: pot roast - cooking spices, charcoal, dry, fewer tannins, softer; sourdough - some alcohol heat, fewer tannins.
About a week later, a sip alone, slightly chilled, as Derek suggests - tannins, charcoal. Paired with pizza - less charcoal, some ash, sour cherry, softer - very good pairing!
Drier than my preference, but would buy another bottle just to support Derek, Colby, and the Children's Heart Foundation. Thank you!

I opened this bottle the day after it arrived rather than letting it sit a while. I did not aerate nor decant. Just opened and poured. I found it to be very smooth with minimal tannins. Lots of rich berries with just a hint of tobacco. A delightful young wine. I will hold some for a while to see it develop over time.

Smooth medium body and lots of ripe dark fruit. There are coffee notes as well and a refreshing herbaceousness that adds unexpected bite. Acidity is moderate but does help with balance. Tart berry flavors linger on the long finish.

Easy to drink Cab, a little gritty smoky taste upfront but rounds out with fruit and jam towards the end.
