I assume the varietal is Vermintino and it is from the Italian island of Sardina. We thought this to be a cousin of Sauvignon Blanc, but not as austere yet full bodied, more enjoyable. A bit of floral and perhaps pineapple. Just a very nice change from all the same old whites. Definite summer quaffer. Not a bad little deal for the price.

Had another bottle... I like it, there is a waft of gras to this that appeals to me. However, my partner found it a little acidic without food and also noted a metallic hint. So maybe bottle variance or just food pairing.

I rarely drink vermentino and thought I remembered them to be semi non descript refreshing & energetic summer quaffers. This is definitely distinctive. Just not sure its my kind of, distinctive. More texturally waxy than I remember other vermentinos being. Has a some what dominating canned preach juice flavor where you can taste the inside of the can. And for this sort of early drinking white, a screw cap would be nice. Others will love this much more than I.

this wine goes especially well with an Italian salad (tomatoes-onions-cucumbers) in an olive oil & wine vinegar dressing. Paired tonight with baked chicken & rice. You must begin with the salad first and then take a sip of the wine. The wine appears to have been designed to mix with the vinegar in the salad and then pairs nicely with the chicken. If you begin with the chicken first and then sip the wine it is awful-not drinkable

Raw almonds, verbena, lemon. Not complex. Lively acidic taste. Medium finish without distortion. Very pleasant wine on this warm spring afternoon. Would go well no doubt with many fish dishes, and does complement my bowl of mixed nuts nicely.

frischer, leichter Wein, hinterläßt Grip am Gaumen, perfektes Match zu den Spaghetti.

Excellent. Not a typical Vermentino, this has a distinctive grapefruit note. Great acidity, smooth, very food-friendly.

Excellent combination of tropical fruits and herbal/garrigue... Nice by itself or with the usual foods.

PnP.
Clear medium lemon colour.
Peach melon rind lime apple and herbs on the nose.
Flavours follow the nose. Tasty but not wow a touch flabby.

Syrlig, fin smak, hint av sitrus. Litt flat smak. Lang, tørr utgang. Passet godt til ikke for krydret laks med scampi.

Profumato, molto gradevole, forse in po' sbilanciato.
Per essere un vino da supermercato, da riprendere.

Better on the nose than the palate, but not bad in a light-bodied, Summer sipper sort of way.
