  • The 2019 Enderle & Moll Pinot Noir "Basis" is perhaps a little more chiseled than other vintages, with perhaps less ripe cherry fruit, but it still delivers bright fruit, bramble berries and modest but forward tannin (for Pinot) that I love in this wine. As it opens you get more hints of bright fruit. If I lived in Germany I would buy and drink this by the case.

  • Opened last night but didn't take notes. Sanders half bottle into 375 ml bottle. Now 1h after opening on 2nd day. Aromas of herbse, green stems, tart red cherries, some cranberries, and bark. Palate w tart red cherries, cranberries, herbs, a bit of green stems, and woody bark. High acids w very mild tannins. A bitter medicinal taste emerges towards the finish. Finishes w herbs, medicinal bark, and some fruit. Nice concentration w good weight. Definitely a German Pinot. But the fruit lags a bit here and doesn't quite balance out the acid and earthy, medicinal bark flavors. 87+

  • The younger vines from two grand cru sites. Also is overwhlemed with VA. Earth and a bit of funk on the palate.
