  • The fill was into the neck and the cork was sound; popped and poured. A deep garnet core, turning to blood red at the rim. A complex and Bordeaux-like bouquet, with extroverted and complex scents of dried blackberry, cedar, tobacco, roasted herbs and briar patch. Medium bodied, with a classic structure, ripe, silky and fully resolved tannins, impressive depth, and a long + savory finish. I paid $31 for this wine at auction in Jan 2020, and it showed like a 1986 Gruaud Larose!
