This was just awful. As R Malloy notes, on opening it tasted like kombucha, but mine was also cloudy - one glass and the whole lot hit the sink. An expensive mistake.

I don’t hate “natural wine.” I just think it is inferior to normal wine. Beyond the usual kombucha-like flavors of natural wine, this wine has a strong mineral core and, weirdly, notes of butterscotch that seemed like premature oxidation. It all tasted pretty good, but it would be near impossible to tell this is sauvignon blanc, much less Sancerre, in a blind tasting.
Tastes at Gra (Los Angeles).

Nose with sour berries (fresh currant) and a herbal note. Stone fruits, grass and a pronounced minerality. However, not as interesting as my previous experiences with Riffault, might need some time to develop.
