Method: pulled out of fridge, Coravined and sat for 20 minutes; Burgundy glass
Look: pale garnet
Nose: craisins, light cherry, black tea, cedar/oak, light dried herbs
Palate: cranberry, orange peel, black tea, light pine; long finish of black tea, leather, dried herbs and light bitter herbs; medium body; low+ fine tannin; medium to medium+ acidity
Overall thoughts: This is drinking very well and showing a good amount of sophistication. The not-too-full body and acidity makes this quite lively and fitting for a Pinot. Very nice, unobtrusive tannins that still provide nice structure. I'm not the biggest cranberry fan, and I get some here, and the finish might be just a touch more bitter than I'd ideally prefer, but there is no doubting the quality in the glass. Great wine!
Update: It did open up a bit to reveal a bit more fruit, more of a pomegranate note, which contrasted the earthiness nicely.

Nose: hibiscus, black tea, floral, cedar, cranberry
Taste: cranberry, hibiscus, black tea, raspberry; medium body, smooth and almost velvety; medium acidity; beautiful tannins; fantastic structure.
Overall: not super expressive but what an amazing mouthfeel. It just floats beautifully over the tongue, the structure is just wonderful and beautifully balanced right now. Very drinkable!

Pale ruby color. Classic Pinot forest floor nose along with raspberry, jammy cherry, clove, a sweet note, and alcohol. It’s light to medium bodied with a bit of a creamy mouthfeel. Tannins are soft and smooth and light+ acidity. Finish is hot and the 14%+ alcohol shows. 83 pts

Palate: cranberry, pomegranate, earth, dried herbs; long finish of dried herbs, earth, black pepper, maybe some gun smoke, and some bitterness at the end; dry; medium- body; low or low+ very fine tannins that are just present enough to add just enough structure; medium+ acid; low heat
Overall: A very earthy and herbal pinot, which I really like. The tannins are already incredibly well integrated. The higher acidity makes me think this would be a very good food wine. I do get a slight amount of heat (and a slight bitterness that may be from the alcohol), which diminishes the experience just a bit. Very good wine, especially when you want something herbal and earthy, but I wouldn't mind a bit more polish.
Update: After allowing the wine to open up for a total for 1.5 hour and serving a 62 degrees, this is a pretty great wine that comes of as more polished and more like what I was expecting. No heat at this temperature and a nice silky mouthfeel.

Palette: Medium body, very smooth; high, bright acid; very slight tannins, nicely integrated; notes of raspberry, pomegranate, rose, black tea, dried herbs & rock; medium finish of rose, black tea, dried herbs & dry rock.
Overall: This is a yummy pinot; it is smooth and bright; it has a little bit of heat and a slight bitterness; definitely enjoyable, likely better paired with food.
