Un nez de melon de miel avec des notes de coquillages. La bouche montre une belle richesse aromatique dans un style crayeux d'une réelle complexité. Fascinant qu'un vin aussi peu cher en donne autant. 90-91 pts

Wow! Rock of Ages. Granite prevails in just about everything -- the bouquet, on the palette and the finish -- everything except the color. Speaking of the color it is a pure, pale yellow with just the slightest hint of green. The nose is sauvignon fruit with a base of chalk, mineral and of course, granite. Even with the weight of the stone, the wine is anything but heavy -- it's lightness floats in your mouth. Imagine tropical fruit arrayed on a bed of granite garden pebbles -- and that is what you will smell and taste. Its chalkiness dries your mouth in time for the next mouthful. Truly an educational wine experience for less than 20 bucks.

The explosively granitic nose fairly snarls in your face for at least four hours, daring you to sip. Later, there is softening by slow degrees, revealing a spring-wound inner tension. Definitely 2-3 years short of its best. Hold.

Cool, demure aromas of fresh melon, flowers, and seawater, with a fleeting hint of custard. Barely ripe melon and stone fruit on the palate, tasty, with medium strength fresh tart acidity, some salinity, and an undercurrent of firm stony minerality that becomes more prominent toward the finish. Good length. A bit on the austere side, but all the more focused and fresh, and quite enjoyable.
Day 2 - More open, more fruit, with some golden apple and pineapple flavors; drinking well.

Paglierino chiaro. Si apre al naso su note saline e floreali (tiglio), albicocca, cenni di mela cotogna, finocchio selvatico. Molto sapido all’attacco, media lunghezza, gradevolezza ed eleganza notevoli

So we really like raw oysters from Washington State and this Muscadet has the acid and minerality to make them sing in your mouth. Also great with fruit or cheese plate.

MuscaDay 2013 (Tom's House - Washington, DC): Aromas of wax, pineapple, salt, lime and flowers. Fresh and pure on the palate, with bruised apple, apricot notes to accent the bracing minerals and sea brine flavors.

Souper avec amis du bureau (départ M-M): Excellent dans un style austère et dense, beaucoup de vin! D'un style aromatique qui n'est pas charmeur, mais intriguant et complexe, j'aime beaucoup. 90 pts

Pale straw in color. Apples, yeast, chalk and minerality on the nose. Lemon, lime and green apple on the palate. Very zippy wine, high acidity, and dry. Medium long finish of lemon and lime.

. 91 pts

Neutral citrusy fruit on the nose with floral touches and quite some stone dust to gunpowder character. Dry palate with refreshing mid-level (+) acidity. Leesy and minerally. Salty and linear through to the lengthy finish. Good stuff!

There's a reason it's called Granite. All minerals, all the time.

Subtle citrus fruit on the nose, minerals and paraffin. An intense minerality on the palate, sea salt, lime and lemon zest. Drinking quite well
