A little over two years since my last bottle, this has changed significantly. Nose is now lush, bringing stone fruit, wildflower honey, and mountain stream. Acidity very strong up front, bringing welcome focus to a dry finish. Bitter citrus on the palate ahead of chalk and saline notes. Excellent.

Excellent 'Mineral' as usual. High-toned yellow fruit, wonderful acidity, perfect balance. The only thing lacking compared to their GGs is some richness and mid-palate punch. Other than that it's a great Riesling and one of the best values you can find below 15€.

Decanted. Now 1h after decant. Aroma of granny smith apples, lemons, minerals, herbs, And a hint of sea breeze. Palate w tart apples, lemon, minerals, some herbs, and some grapefruit pith on back end. Excellent acids on a medium body. Nice moderately short finish. Very nice but still really young.. Open last bottle at age 9 or 10.

Playful and fresh on opening - after an hour of air, this bottle lives up to its name. This screams out for oysters to accompany it.
The palate is simply electric and mineral - if you don't crave acidity, you might want to seek a different riesling. This should hopefully settle down with some more time in bottle or maybe on day 2.

Despite its name, this wine does have some fruit on the nose: pink grapefruit, peach, ataulfo mango skins and just a hint of passion fruit. However, it is intermixed with a deep flinty mineral backbone to merit its eponymous name. Though it is on the palate where the wine starts to shine best. A surprising amount of weight in the mid palate and a strong coarse granite and saline textural finish. It feels like this wine wants to be all about texture and density. It needs a few years to calm down and integrate though. AP 09 20
Really pretty peach and apricot with minerals. Very round, but I’d like a little more acidic pop. A little simple and I wouldn't want to pay more, but enjoyable and polished.

Like a mountain stream, this was fresh and full of mineral bliss. Such a strikingly beautiful nose of yellow irises that made this absolutely irresistible. This pretty wine had a delicious palate of nectarines with a building presence of acidity that tingles on the palate with citrus infused energy. I absolutely love this wine. It is such a pleasure to drink and shows that you don't have to be expensive to be world class.

Wet granite envelopes the bouquet and forms a backbone for powerfully acidic notes of lemon peel, brûléed grapefruit, and petrol.
The body is bracingly acidic and mineral. Plastic and petrol with lemon peel and some astringency. Finish is dominated by acid and citrus.
Good wine and very well executed but the acid and mineral domination leaves the rest of it feeling a little one-dimensional. At the $40 price range there are better wines to be had.
Really liked this and will have to get some more! Nice miix of orange rind, lime, white tropicals, spice and minerals, really loved the texture really pretty mouth feel with generous fruit and while the acidity was high it was well integrated beautiful finish too

Touch of wild yeasts on the nose, followed by lime leaf, underripe pineapple and mango, and white peach. While tropical aromas dominate the nose, the palate bursts with chalky and saline mineral character with undulating flavors of lemongrass, grapefruit peel, lemon pith, and white smoke. Full-bodied, deep, and pure on the palate, with zesty acidity. The mineral and smoke notes carry through on a long finish. Delicious juice.

Like the coming of a storm. Soft, easy and tropical to start with mango and ripe peach. Undertones of spice and Meyer lemon slowly emerging as the wine builds energy. Now at full tilt, with plenty of verve and spice, this is fully charged and bursting with prickly bergamot and salinity. Fantastic 'entry level' wine!

Very enjoyable. Fruits were taught and dizzyingly electric at first. After 5 hours of air, the peach and mango tones opened up while the electric current faded to more of a pleasant background buzz. Alcohol creeped in a bit - especially at first.

Sparse nose. Mountain flowers and slate.
Lithe acidity, verjus over slate and river rocks.
Excellent sense of place.

A little tight on day one. Gorgeous fruit appears on day 2. Mineral driven with petrol notes and great acidity. Long finish.
