Plum nose with hints of blueberry and warm oak. Palate is warm and light, palate is plum and jammy blueberry. Finish is moderately long, alcohol makes soft appearance, full of plum and mild charred oak with a hint of caramel.

Dark ruby color. No rim variation. Probably filtered minimally. Chocolate, leather, cassis, black cherry, and a hint of oak on the nose. Plum, raspberry, oak, black pepper, and black cherry on the palate. Great complexity for food pairing (probably something with black pepper).

This wine is drinking great, very nicely balanced. Wonderful round berry nose and a powerful mid-palate. It finishes with a bit of that 'oak cask', which I personally enjoy. Not over-oaked; has matured dramatically in the last six months.

clear, purple, pale ruby rim, thin watery white miniscus, tears fast to form and fall stained lightly with grape color clean, med+ intensity, intense perfum, sweet violet, grainy smelling texture, blackberries, sharp red fruit, vanilla dry, acid is med-, tannin is med, body is me, alc is med (est 13%), length is med + flav intensity is med, flavs: vanilla, blackberry, hard to define black fruit, black and red currant quality statement: wine is exceptionally well balanced. The vanilla suggests oak was used to mellow the wind and let the flavors evolve. Good paring with a large variety of food.

This is a great wine that completely blows equivalently-priced CA wines out of the water. If you like a nice smooth, dense, wine with medium oak and tannins then I think this is a wine to try. I will buy more of this for day-to-day drinking.

Deep and rich purple color. Dried tobacco on the nose with flavors of plum and cherry. A fairly tannic wine, but very enjoyable. Tasted better on the 2nd night -- smoother and more concentrated flavors. Salud!

Deep red color. Plum nose. The first thing that hits you when you taste it is the tannin. This wine is too young and needs a few years to calm down. Slightly bitter. Do not serve to guests for at least some time. Gets a little creamier as it oxygenates.

Serve this in the mid 50's and let warm up. Very deep purple in the glass. Expressive fruity nose and Oak. Explosive fruit flavors (rasberry and strawberry). This is balanced nicely by abundant oak and fine grained tannins. Really a great value. One of my favorite wines at this price point.

I'm borrowing this description from another source because it is spot on. "Dense, deep purple colour, the wine is an attractive marriage of ripe fruit and oak, with the palate showing that characteristic Malbec edge. Good length and a certain satisfying elegance, from this very old established Argentinean producer"
This is Very enjoyable. The fruit is rich and it has nice fine grained tannins and good oak and acidity to balance the fruit out. Better than the 2004 which was also good. Crowd pleaser and recommended.

Great QPR, a little more complex and spicy than the other malbecs I've had in this range. Great for the price.

Drank soon after a 2005 Cab Sav Trapiche Oak Cask - seemed less refined than the cab - worked for BBQ

Less fruit than previous, probably since a little cold and did not decant; still great with grilled tritip and potatoes.
