  • Deep ruby color. Not quite ready to drink. Alcohol on the nose 14%, and a little steely on the finish. I’ll wait a couple of years to open the next.

  • This is a very nice Bordeaux. Drinks young but totally enjoyable. I plan to get more and not be in a hurry to consume it.

  • Unlike most young Bordeaux offerings that I taste, this bottle was uncorked and poured rather than being decanted through a Vinturi aerator or simply splash decanted. As such, I allowed this wine a much longer time interval in glass during my assessment. A deep-to-opaque ruby blend of 58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot and 10% Petit Verdot aged for 14 months in French oak (30% new), it requires at least an hour of air to fully strut its aromatic profile of black and red currant fruit that is accented with violets, graphite, cedar and loamy earth. Medium-bodied, freshly acidic, proportionately oaked and with well-integrated alcohol (13.5%), it delivers flavors mirroring the nose and wraps them with medium-weight, fine-grained tannins. The mid-palate and finish are dense and lengthy, respectively. This is a very credible Margaux that may not possess the pedigree but definitely delivers the goods. Drink now-2034.

  • Saturated purple with sheen. Reticent but enticing nose, please swirl in large glass. Entry has more depth than expected, medium bodied, cherry lifted by bright distracting? spiciness. A well-balanced well-made Margaux displaying lack of oak and other interventions. Appealing now like a pretty teen too ornamented, I expect she will emerge less shiny and with more character.

  • Fresh, spicy, medium-bodied, bright, soft-textured, sweet, cherry and black raspberry filled wine with slightly dusty tannins on the backend in the red berry filled finish. This will be easy to taste on release. Drink from 2022-2030.
