  • This is an amazing wine, the best Syrah I've had to date. So much complexity, so much character, I'm so happy to have opened this yet so sad that I don't have more. Dark inky red color. The second I smelled this I was taken away, it was intense and powerful. Black pepper, blackberries, smoke, some whiffs of coffee and the smell of a freshly barbecued steak. We let this air a while before drinking as it does need it. First impression on the palate is that this is an immense and rich wine and yet, so delicate and complex. An iron fist in a velvet glove. Black pepper, olives, thyme and rosemary, smoke, the juices of a freshly cooked steak, blackberry, cassis liquor, vanilla and notes of mocha. I cannot express enough how near perfect this is. I can't find any flaws and if it's not 100pts now it will surely be in the future. This wine will be on my mind for weeks

  • Special wine. Perhaps most complex syrah i've ever had. Beefy and spicy, yet fruity and sleek. Hoping a little age will knock out a drop of ripeness.

  • Amazing Côte-Rôtie, flawless.

Notes of coffee, liquorice, olives, blackberry jam. Rich, complex but also very fluid and generous. Explosive, endless finale. Spectacular.

  • Vin fabuleux qui en 2019 explose tous les standards des Côtes Rôties, bien meilleur cette année que tous les Rostaing et en tous cas au niveau des La-La-La de Guigal, pour un prix bien plus humain!

  • Les Grandes Places 2019 is a very great Côte-Rôtie. Chocolate, black fruits and smoky notes. The palate is racy, structured by serious tannins and great minerality. Aging will reveal its complexity even more. The best ever made here and an extra soul compared to the Landonne this year.

  • Dark red fruit, smoke, truffle, cigar wrapper, and vanilla create the perfume. On the palate, the wine is rich, supple, ripe, round, and loaded with sweet, red fruits, polished tannins, and a long, seductive, slightly warm finish. The vines are old with the oldest vines having been planted in 1928. The wine is aged in 30% new, French oak barrels for 22 months before bottling. Drink from 2025 - 2045.
