From a not great vintage. Stil, things were OK in Gevrey-Chambertin that year.
We were expecting a lot more from this wine. Seems to be closed down right now. Not much on the nose, even after a 2 hour decant. A rustic wine. Kind of boring. Lacking the depth of a grand cru. It's "fine." Varietally correct, but unremarkable.
We've had better wines from both Burgundy and Oregon for less than half the cost of this one.

Chambolle & Gevrey BYO (Grand Hyatt Hong Kong): Jammy dark fruit, minty, dense structure but good floral elegance. Grippy on the palate with a spin. Overall quite nice, a darker version of Chambertin. 92-93

M2/M3. Drank at Cimarron. Could have been elevation-affected.
