  • The previous reviews make a lot of sense to me. This still has a bit of development in it but is simply a very enjoyable Chardonnay right now. Pale golden yellow, good legs and a nose that suggests great balance with oak very much in the background. The palate was luscious but not heavy with apple/peach the main fruit core. Great with Guinea fowl

  • Lovely pale yellow in colour nose is subdued but getting a hint of almond and oak. Lemons and limes on the palate with some grapefruit. The acid gives this wine a beautiful minerality which tells me it has good time ahead of it. The length is long and lingering. I think this wine will develop complexity with time but very approachable young. A Great Mornington Chardonnay

  • Medium minus intensity aromas of smoked bacon, slightly toasty notes, lemon over peach, pretty, worked, with time a little caramel and sweet spice. Juicy acid, reductive struck match, green apple and lemon, tight textured grip on the mid palate finishes a touch bitter, lovely acid fruit balance but the bitterness is a bit of a turn off for me.

  • 2019 Stonier Reserve Chardonnay.
A lot of winemaking here but the fruit is balanced.

    Solid yellow gold.

Nose dominated by spicey oak, yeasty lees work.

Apple, pear, grape and white peach flavoured.

    Powerful medium bodied.

New wood, furry peach skin, lemon through the finish.

Quite yeasty through the finish with tangy citrus and green fruit.

Needs time, 2 years. A generous gift from a dear friend.

    4.25/5. 92 ish.
