Bottle 11 of a case bought 5 years ago….pretty much all have been fantastic! 85% SB, 15% Semillon…..a little petrol funk showing out of the gate…reminds me of the 2000 Haut Brion Blanc just had….as well as nice limestone chalk minerality and waxiness….to go along with the TOTALLY tropical fruits (coconut, pineapple, banana, mango)….but sharp as a tack with citrus squeeze acidity. Throw in some dried exotic white honey, creamy lemon butter, Half Moon Bay flower stands(really!), candied papaya……you have an amazingly unique and tasty Cali Fume here…aging perfectly! Love it!

Medium yellow still drinking quite well. Highly floral nose that includes a bit of honeyed lime and pineapple. Rich and full in the mouth, with a long tropical finish. Showing well at this age.

Popped and poured. Wow, this is fascinating stuff. It's not like anything else I've had. The nose is packed with herbs, especially tarragon and sage. On the palate, great acid, no oxidation, subtle lemon fruit, and the herbs carry over. One word of warning: drink it with a good chill and/or fast - at the end of the night, at room temperature, it was downright bad, tasting like fermented cat pee.

85% SB, 15% Semillon. Golden straw color; tropical, floral white flower, honey/stones, dried orange peel nose. Tropical, tropical, tropical! Every time I have one of these wines...I get a very tropical coconut, banana, pineapple thing going on! Very distinct flavors, like no other, in Ca. SB imo. This wine shows a little more alcohol(15%) at this time than I would like....little tropical martini if you will. Nice and creamy lemon honey butter, little waxiness, stony minerals....citrus acid cut. No malo...31% new French oak for 11 months gives it a nice balanced smoky creamness to it....while the high toned citrus cuts through. No doubt it will age well for a few years. Great, unique Ca. Fume' Blanc!

Outstanding Quality. Served blind to a group who a very fund of French wine. Nobody guessed out of Europe! This has the level of a great white Burg. Penetrating acidity with enormous focus on the fruit. Peach, pineapple and fresh apples. Very long and lingering finish.

Complex yet very approachable. Terrific with blackened tune. Even better with aged gouda from Costco. Wish it was $10 less per bottle, but a solid awesome wine. Very well made. Totally ready now.

Spectacular, Spiced nose of caramel, lemon, mineral, hint of oak on a full bodied Sav Blanc that is surprisingly balanced given its 15.4% alcohol. Tried it next to a kim crawford and would you believe this wine was not as heavy? It is very nice to see this wine from Mondavi again.

Bright pale yellow-intensely aromatic smelling grapefruit, citrus, and white spice-medium full body with mellow acidity-flavors of honey, grapefruit peel, minerals, green apples and peaches -the finish lingers beautifully. This is the bomb again.

tight, grassy with a touch of dill at first glass. opened up by 2nd glass with lime, grass, and a toasted oak. a little chalky, flinty, potassium finish. complex, a little green and old world style early ripeness.

Way past its prime. For those familiar with this wine, at this stage, it resembles none of its promise or glory.
