- Garnet color and aromas of tar, raisin and sherry and has flavours of black pepper and raisin - Got to this one too late. Not much fruit left, but should be good with biG steak BBQ.

May be getting a little past it's prime. Fruit and acid was lower than anticipated and the wine took a back seat flavor wise to the marinated flank steak it was served with. Was a pleasant experience but wasn't up to my expectations.

Beautiful bouquet with good ripe cherries, dark forest fruits, some menthol, pepper and other spices. Same on the palate with good concentration, a lot of substance, sweetness and also a lot of fresh acidity and bitterness like in black chocolate. The tannin is not really round and still offers a firm bite. Juicy and a medium long finish. While being open for some hours the wine gained in complexity. Young maturity now, but better keep it for another 4 - 5 years and more complexity will probably show.

This one seemed younger. Less sediment, less age, holding nicely, probably at peak. Big blast of fruit and oak, massive flavors, intense grape palate flowing to a very long finish with notes blueberry raspberry and chocolate.

Dark purple fruit, dense and thick, that big aussie shiraz profile, but now dominated by secondary aromas and flavors. This probably was 90+ a year or two ago, but now i'd give an 88. Past prime but still enjoyable to me. Drink up.

Gave the wine a little time to open up and in doing so the wine went developed drastically from what seemed to be a watered down Shiraz to a mouthfeel that was quite rich. The flavours I noticed were black cherry, black pepper and licorice. The initial reaction on the nose was very closed and a young wine with slight hints of darker fruits and nice cola and spice notes. Overall I'm happy with it given some ample time to breath.

Full bodied wine, maybe not for Australian standards, but certainly for me. A lot of sweetness, chocolate and ripe black fruits. A pleaser, which is not extremely complex, but certainly in very good harmony. And for a friendly price. Of course there still is enough future in this wine.

Typical clare valley shiraz. Eucalyptus, cherry, dark fruit. Glycerin. A little lack of aftertaste. Good tannins and acid. Nice fruit bomb.

Thanksgiving wine. Unattractive nose, however, an excellent pairing
