  • Tasted after a six hour decant.
Dark ruby in colour with lovely aromas of sweet black fruit, chocolate, sweet tobacco, earth/forest floor & black olive tapenade.
On the palate, full bodied & somewhat savoury, sweet black fruit, boysenberry/blackberry/cassis/blueberry, chocolate, sweet tobacco, smoke, herbal/eucalyptus (?), well integrated oak as cedar, high acidity & medium slightly angular tannins with a long finish to intense spice & pepper.
This wine is very rich & powerful & not for those looking for light & elegant.
This is lovely wine & I’m looking forward to the cellaring journey!
