  • IsaacJamesBaker’s note below describes this very well for us. Indeed dusty mint, rose petals, and all that. Our bottle was also quite funky (reminiscent of similar in Jura reds) — my wife, normally a good sport, found it excessively so. Enjoyable for me over three nights. But for household harmony, we won’t be getting more.

  • Incredibly vibrant wine. Bursting with red fruits and energy, cherries, raspberries, strawberries, rhubarb, roses. On the palate it's bright with juicy acidity. Accessible right out of the gate. A really fun Beaujolais. Yann Bertrand does it again.

  • Delicious and expressive young. Bright and spicy with cherries, roses, rhubarb and mint on the nose. Gorgeous and fresh, dusty and brisk, accessible already. Raspberries, cherries, McIntosh apples. Notes of rhubarb, white pepper, event some underlying mushroom broth and clay notes already. Lively, pure and punchy right out of the bottle and stays that way.

  • This is similar to the last Fleurie I had -- primarily flavor of black cherry cola. This one is slightly more acidic than the Julie Balagny and is bright and drinkable. For texture, what it lacks in tannins it makes up for in minerality -- the minerals also impart a heavy saline note into the flavor that isn't exactly salty tasting but is close. Very enjoyable, good complexity but good balance.
