P: MF body; RNDISH entry with NICE, ALMOST swtish frt met by an astringent pucker which doesn't come close to losing contact with the init frt as it seamlessly evolves into a very LONG, balanced finish with a bitter/swtness (55:45) to the firming, but fairly unoffensive, dusty tannins. For now & the next 5 yrs, + should be able to accompany food for ALL of that. 12.8% ABV; My EXC+/Exceptional-. 92 pts Decanter (Kelley, 9/20/15) & 87 WS (10/15/96). [As of late Dec '19, wine-searcher still shows 1 source @ $249].

Out of magnum the 1993 Corison is aging very gracefully indeed, bursting from the glass with a fragrant bouquet of red and black cherry and chocolately, loamy soil tones. On the palate the wine is vibrant, sappy and ripe at the core, leading with juicy fruit that still takes center stage, and which points to this very classically balanced and Bordeaux-styled wine's Napa origins. Lovely.

PopnPour, tasted over 2 hrs -solid dark red with touch of purple, minimal bricking -nicely aromatic, slightly jammy at first, develops complex and rich tobacco/earthy/cassis elements -med acidity provides great balance, fruit intermingled with earthiness on lighter weight but med+ concentrated mid-palate, med chalky tannins and faintest hint of oak on moderately long finish -this is gorgeous right now and just a pointe but has many good years left, first experience with Corison is a very positive one!

Wow, I was really surprised at how well this wine was given the vintage- the nose gave a strong impression that it was past it's prime, but the wine tasted well, smooth, most of the fruit was gone.

We were very pleased with this wine. Popped and poured. Tannins are very subtle, fruit is bright with cherry and berry flavors. Was not at all oxidized or tired. Just a great aged cabernet.

Started out fine, smooth, balanced, but the fruit didn't hold by the end of the bottle. Felt a little flat at the end. Could be past its prime, nice but not worth 80.00 bucks. I was a liitle suspicious to find this library wine available at the winery.

The larger format is still holding strong! Wonderful tertiary flavors have taken hold with good acidity and round mouth feel!

Decanted. Very pretty but unfortunately served too cold to know if a higher score could be warranted. Guessing 13%

Mature Napa Cali Cab. Savory, tobacco, black fruit, maple syrup, with a tart cherry and anise finish. Drink up if you have any of this.

Surprisingly good since the cork had dried out and this wine should have been drunk some time ago. Very smooth and a bit smokey.
