Clear, brilliant dark red in color, almost jewel like in its transparency and beauty. On the nose, delicate and reserved dark current, mulberry and cherry notes waft up amongst a woody veil. Silky and smooth tannins immediately coat my mouth with a subtle acidity that seems to creep along the sides of my tongue, followed by quick spicy midpalate kick and a juicy, cherry finish. Slightly one dimensional but very approachable. 2.5/5

Bright garnet color to this wine. The nose shows muted wood, and cherry/red currant. Really not very expressive. In the mouth the acidity and tannins are light, with simple flavors of cherry and earthy wood. Simple and though not bad for a lighter meats and roast vegetables. 2.5/5

Wow, loved this. So delicate, a very elegant medium bodied wine with nice balanced acidity. Notes of cherry, even some chocolate and coffee. Jean and I had some 2 days after opening and it was more complex than the 2005 PianCornello Rosso di Montalcino we had opened. Amazing value at $9.99
