Quite nice again, seems a bit of aged quality, which at 4 years shows as slightly deeper yellow and tweak to citrus. Drank over several nights, good across the board, bit less acidity day 2 and 3, bit more fruit.

On the same night during dinner, drinked the 2019 and the 2020 back to back. Colored yellow, dense but still really clear. Nose is subtil, fine acidity. First taste you can feel the finesse of the wine. It’s light but with substance. Mineral, acid and you can still feel the fruit pretty well. On the 2019, you can have an bitter aftertaste. It’s not that bad, but the 3 of us tasting the wines had the same verdict: the 2020 was smoother and better, it’s a no brainer.
Still, two good wines and nice to be able to compared them back to back.

This vintage is in a great space right now since tasting last year. Is punching well above its weight and showing generous amounts of white peach and lime en pallet with the faintest aroma of rosemary flower and borage honey on the nose. Good thymes

More than serviceable entry level Chablis. Doesn’t quite have the complexity or elegance of a Dauvissat, but beyond that, on par or better with the likes of Bessin (this wine is cleaner), Moreau Naudet (this is less exotic). Clean, pure, pastry cream on the nose, good intensity on the palate, citric with minerals, kind of round in texture, with a medium length finish. Very solid.

Very good, balanced Chablis with good typicity: citrus, talc, and stony minerality. I liked this considerably more than the one consumed nearly a year ago. I have one remaining, which I'll drink this year, I believe.

Jour 1. Des notes citronnées et de salinité. Tant au nez quand bouche. Vif, presque tranchant, sec, longueur moyenne.

Ripe nose of pear, citrus and minerals. Surprisingly rich mouth. Finishes more in the fruit direction than mineral. Guessing zero oak and relatively little if any malolactic conversion. Excellent.

Drank over two nights, quite a bit improved on second night. Lovely floral, light mineral & citrus, stone fruit, pear, as other recent notes observe. Concur with both ALGO and A-SMITH. Day 1, muted, day 2 considerably more on nose and open palate. Do not get the high acidity some mention, and minerality is less pronounced than fruit and floral elements though sufficient to brighten the finish. Better at warmer temp than out of fridge. Understated yet quite gorgeous and nuanced in its way was my takeaway. Interesting to read the range of impressions for this wine in this vintage. My past experience with Picq has been only of the 1er bottlings and those I enjoy quite a bit. Look forward to next bottle.

Similar level in terms of quality versus the Droin Chablis, I find this more delicate, less rich yet with greater acidity, minerality, and to be honest more personality. aromas of stone fruit, Asian pear, yellow apple, crushed stone, and light spices. The palate was delicate, light yet refreshing with ripe orchard fruit and crushed almonds. The finish was medium in length and refreshing.

Appearance - clear, medium gold. Has a brown straw color too.
Nose - clean, youthful, medium minus intensity. Not getting tons on nose give how long it has been open. Can eke out, lemon peel, more like a fragrant vs a real note.
Palate - vibrant, clean, clear, crisp, minerality, acidity is medium maybe medium plus, a little nutty (as in almonds not crazy) fruit is apple, maybe lemon, it’s not intense fruit. More mineral driven with a hint of citrus. Finish is medium. Alcohol medium. Clearly dry. Body is medium. You get the sense this saw some oak. Some cedar which is balanced and appears on finish.
For the NYC during Covid premium we pay, it’s ok, non descript, will I run out and stock up, no, is it fine to drink and paired well with dinner, absolutely.
Wine seems well made. As I sip it I think about Cali chards and how over the top they are. This is subtle with finesse. I feel like this is a wine that morphs with what you are serving and brings out its best. Be it herbs, shellfish, etc.
It’s a nice wine.

The nose has that reductive minerality and marine influence that to me makes it unmistakably Chablis. This wine has real density to it, both aromatically and on the palate, but it’s not at all overripe - it’s very well balanced. I like the articulation of fruit and flower and stone, and i like the impact and length, especially at the villages level. This is a very good wine.

Jefferson Sialo virtual networking event tasting wine #2 with Coravin. Light yellow color. Aroma is citrus, maybe a bit like grapefruit and sour apple. It tastes like lemon and grapefruit, apple, and has some definite mineral/slight saltiness which really is pleasant. Medium bodied with a bright texture and chewy mouthfeel. The wine has high acidity and a remarkably long tapering finish. Felt it would pair well with seafood when tried on day 1 with just snacks. Day 2 pop and pour and drank a glass with linguine and garlic wine sauce with mussels, shrimp and calamari-same overall initial impression, but now I detect some yellow floral (?sunflower) element noted on the complex nose also and there is some sweetness (almost sweeter apple or pear and perhaps melon) before that gentle sea saltiness reemerges on the rather long pleasant finish. Great pairing and fabulous QPR for the under $20 we paid for it. Excellent. 92+

Beautiful scents of white flowers and slate.
Far less lean than the 2018. Round, full, white peach and honeycrisp apple. Cold stream river rocks. Mild acidity to balance the finish.
Highly excellent entry level Chablis from a producer on an uptrend.
