Ripe, spicy black fruit. Yes, like blackberry puree with a touch of cranberry. Delicious with lamb. The tannin is ripe and fully mature and integrated with the fruit. Complex, luscious and fully mature but not far from its peak. This was #3 of 3 clos figuera I bought as an anniversary wine and the best of the three. Just as enjoyable 2nd day as first open suggesting a stable maturity.

Decanted about an hour, nose of purple fruits and some smokiness. More impressive and nuanced on the palate, prune or peppered plum, a certain earthiness, smoke/tobacco. Tannins have smoothed out, nice finish, smooth and rich.

Opened 2 hours but not decanted. Nose of prunes and smoke/oak. Frankly the nose was a big "eh". The palate is far more interesting. The fruit is ripe but not overly so. The fruit tones seem brighter and less pruney. There is certainly an element of earth here, and balanced oak as well. Raspsberry jam and cedar, and acidity to be useful at the table. There is still a tannic edge, so consider that going forward.

Decanted 30 mins ahead of dinner. Deep red in glass. Immediate rich aged plummy fruit, earth, a bit of tar on nose and palate. Opened up throughout meal. Good acid underpinnings, and a welcome layer of fresher fruit with slight sweetness, that made the wine notable. Quite smooth. More tannin crept in and freshness dissipated a bit. Moderate long finish.

This is the last of 3 bottles. It's not a bad wine, in fact, for Priorat it's a pretty fair expression. I just don't like Priorat. Reminds me of Amarone. They are so hot and extracted. Taste like a "AA" CDP where CDP is the major leagues. I would rather pay $10-$15 for a young, fruity Montsant than $30 for this. Just not my style.

A hint of earth follows my nose to the palate coloring with ripe yet fresh juicy reds and blacks with a touch of spice. This wine is medium to full body good structure and balance. Excellent!

Dark in color, already throwing tons of finer sediment. Cassis, graphite and tar on the nose. Bright, delicious acidity. Very decadent red and black berry flavor. First time I tried this I though of Amarone because of a bit of raisiny flavour. Also reminiscent of a jammy hedonistic syrah in the first few hours. Great dryness/balance developing after being open for awhile. 91-93.

Think dark! Midnight in color with black olive, fennel, plum, black cherry and charcoal bouquet. Others commented on the variety of spices they could pick out such as black pepper and caraway, but I wasn't able to find them as easily. After 30 minutes are so, the flavors perked up showing forest berries, clove and pepper. It was a fun wine, a bit tight and lacking the body I had anticipated, but really a great wine. 4/5

Inky color the nose on this is incredible with smokey mint notes followed by black olive, violets, minerals, and dark fruits which create a virtual tapestry for everything else to sit upon. Big tannins come forward in the mouth with flavors of cherry, raspberries, blackberry, anise and cloves. One interesting aspect that showed up at the finish was a hint of oloroso like fruitiness. Great wine. 4/5
