P&P through an aerator. Flavors of plum and blackberry fruit, bacon fat, green olive and mineral with a hint of Rocks Funk. Really elegant wine, silky in the mouth. Was a bit scared as the cork had hints of TCA, but the wine was not affected. Drink now - 2038.

Opened this for my September bottle in the 2021 WA Syrah Challenge. Decanted 1 hour. Very elegant and refined, with plum and blackberry fruit, bacon fat, mineral and just the barest hint of Rocks Funk. Really loving the minerality in this wine. You can almost taste the river rocks... Outstanding stuff that will only improve with age. Drink now (ideally w/air) - 2038.

The 2018 Human[e] has a medium purple color with a complex bouquet of black plum, framboise, olive tapenade, white pepper, and Asian spices. It is a medium-plus bodied wine with very high flavor density. The palate defines elegance and finesse, with refined tannins, crisp acidity, and well delineated notes of black plum, framboise, bacon fat, truffle, forest floor, and black olive. The very long finish resolves with savory, umami notes of truffle, bacon fat, white pepper, and stony minerality. The wine showcases elegant structure, refined harmony, and incredible flavor purity. This wine will continue to improve for the next 5-7 years and should drink well for the next 10+ years.

Doran's. Green olive, bacon fat, bay leaf, dark berry fruit. Ethereal in the glass. Very sorry I didn't order this when I had the opportunity.
