According to Mickaël Haratyk at Domaine Joblot, the 2019 vintage was "absolutely gorgeous". And I agree. This is a very good PN with loads of red berries, especially raspberries. But also more blue fruit than I expected, as well as subtle floral notes and elegant touches of earth and oak. Dry, fruity and intense with substantial tannins that speak of great cellaring potential. In the long, juicy finish comes a lively hint of menthol and a subtle minerality. Will try to save the last bottle for 2030.

Decanted and drank over several hours. I can see where this will age nicely, but the oak is very prominent now. Might get a few more and try again in several years.

Compared to the Joblot Servoisine 2018, which I had two times over the last weeks, this is quite a different wine. More cherry-fruited, lifted, nuanced and blessed with a stony aftertaste, this comes across as more classic and - despite being labeled with half a degree more alcohol (14°) - fresher. The wine has a good structure, which is easily covered by its babyfat and rich flavours. While flat-out delicious now, it should age nicely and I can imagine it to never really shut down. However, I would not say that I prefer it over the Servoisine 2018, which stands out for its even richer dark fruits and opulence without being over the top. Both wines are great.

violet and blue fruited, tinged by VA. but the finish is promising. Most people thought it was syrah

Drank at 67 Pall Mall. Juicy, has depth of flavor. Fully ripe. Robust rather than graceful. Clearly primary still. Outperforms it’s price point.

Beginning to shut down. I suggest to leave these now alone for 4-5 years.

Almost purple in colour, remarkable concentration, almost stewed black fruits
