Geruch: Sauber. Mittlere Aromen von Rote Johannisbeere, Rumtopf, Brombeere, Tabak, marmeladig. Erste Reifenoten.

Right at the border of the estate. And like super ripe on the nose to the raisin. ON day two and apparently hasn't moved since yesterday. LIke raspberry liquor one taster notes. And its a bit tired on day two but there it is.

Vinetasters: 2019 Châteauneuf-du-Pape (Skokie, IL): Served double blind. Fairly aromatic perfume with more of a dark-fruited quality. Oddly some malic acidity on the palate here, as well as plenty of astringency from both the tannins and an unpleasant herbal note. Thin and medicinal, and like all the wines today, quite bitter. My 7th, group's 3rd.

Juicy, smooth, rich with a fine acidity and some herbal notes at the end. More or less open and ready to drink if you like them very young, but ten years in the cellar should be no prob - and two years would be a very good idea. 91+

Rich full bodied. Great bottle of wine. I’ll be holding on to the 1.5 for a few years before popping it.

Excellent wine for the price tag. Hopefully, it won’t go sky high in price. Good to enjoy now.

Smooth and creamy, surprisingly open and aromatic. Expected a heavier, austere sip. Cherry, licorice and fresh herbs. Fantastic wine.

Our 3rd bottle. Big ripe fruit, just enough pepper and structure to hold it all together. Some complexity as it opens up.
Tempted to pick up a few bottles to see how it evolves. Trade a bit of young fruit for spice and this is a showstopper.
