  • Remarkably well-preserved for a 35-year old burgundy. The colour remains quite a deep red, though brownish at the edges. Excellent mature nose, with none of the volatile acidity which sometimes mars burgundies of this period. On the palate it is medium-bodied, finishing in a lovely long aftertaste.

Last of a few bottles I bought in the 1990s. We drank the others some years ago, so it was interesting to see how this one had fared. Much better than I had expected! If you happen to come across this wine and the colour and level look OK, it could be worth taking a chance on it.
