Grand Cru White Burgundy Fest: Really, really good just like the last showing. Nose just exploding out of the glass with lots of energy on the palate. Drouhin did amazing in 19 and I can't wait to taste the 20.

Atlanta Amoureuses & Monty Dinner: Double decanted for 1.5 hours. A bit more textured than the Lafons, but really good. Surprisingly held its own, and a great drink any day, but clearly not quite in the same class.

A terrific bottle. Decanted prior to dinner, than drunk leisurely over 2+ hours. Showing richness and depth, this markedly improved over the two hours. A couple of us commented that this vintage could (is likely to?) outperform Drouhin's 2017 over time.
Two friends sharing two bottles of wine (The Capital Grille at Tysons corner, VA): Gorgeous nose displaying generous rip but pure yellow citrus fruit with a hint of white, lemon curd, a hint of pineapple, white peach, coconut, honeysuckle, vanilla/oak, spicy spices and limestone. Excellent concentration, beautifully layered ripe yellow fruit, rich and ripe but also very precise, airy and beautifully detailed, perfect amount of acidity and mineral, and a long ripe yellow fruit driven finish. I love the rich yet weightless palate that I associate with great Montrachets or Chevalier Montrachets. Gorgeous showing.

As usual, the 2019 was very, very good.

This is an exceptional Laguiche, and tonight's bottle was no exception.

Montrachet: My second bottle in two months, and both times I was stunned. For me, this is the best vintage of MdL I've ever encountered.
