Emily's graduation dinner - no formal notes but was far better than the bottle we drank last July. Fragrant nose with pleasant acidity. It was gone too quickly.

Popped and poured. Served at cellar temp. Fragrant nose. Strong sensations of heavy fruit like pears in syrup or caramelized apples. Lots of acidity leads to a very dry, hard finish. No oak issues noted - seems to have integrated. If drinking now, would do so with foods high in fat. Believe this will reach its peak probably within the year. Enjoyed this wine.

Let open for a good 30 Minutes to blow the wood off the fresh bottle. Once it calmed down, fruit was abundant, with pear dominating. Still a bit oaky but that should calm down over the next year or two

Still truckin'. Lively and nice, though faded out on Day 2. Like the pleasant afterglow of the sunset that's nice but, you know, just not the same.

Brought to dinner with friends. Very reticent on the nose and palate, perhaps served it too cold. Will be more careful with the next one.

Fine Vines Spring 2012 Portfolio Tasting (Nellcote - Chicago IL): Tasting. Aromas and flavors of apple with good spice. A slight step-up from the (also good) Milly-Lamartine also just tasted. Good energy, moderate power.

Nice enough chard but fails to excite much. More Macon than Lafon.

Heritiers du Comte Lafon 2009 Tasting, Recently Bottled (Domaine Lafon in Meursault): Tasted at Domaine Lafon in Meursault. Just bottled a few days prior. Biggest fruit from the Lafon 09 Heritiers lineup. Also a fairly powerful finish now. I think this wine will be the best of the wines in the very near-term.
