Slightly toasty, rich and bright, with good acidity and layered fruit. I’ve really enjoyed every bottle of Pierre Peters Chetillons I’ve drank, although if my memory holds and weight I’d say that I enjoyed the 14’ I had recently more than this vintage.

The Return to The Kitchen Table (The Kitchen Table, London): Very much the classic , apple , soft floral and light kiss of toast. Firm in the palate , sharp and could have used a bit more polished side on the acids. Good wine but not the great wine it promises to be. 90

Some of the best champagne I’ve had. Sharp and precise. Filled with acid, but balanced with a nice body. Green apples, lime, passion. Lucky to have another bottle- will get better with time

A relative assessment rather than an absolute one. My first taste of this Cuvee was the 12 which i found riveting in lift and persistence. This '15 rendition is obviously the same plot, BdB identity and deft Peters winemaking. Except it feels riper, sweeter and more pasty. I put this down to vintage characteristics and it may be accentuated further by the 5g dosage. Top plot and maker so aging may reveal much more.

Bedrock syrahs at Bazaar Meat (Chicago, IL): Next to the slightly more diffuse Moncuit, this shows far more laser-like precision, acidity, and minerality. It's less fruit forward and shows quite structural here, and it does take a good bit of time for a semblance of unwinding and relaxing. Still, this wine feels like it is missing the intensity of a great Champagne (despite the comparison) and the palate feels a little hollow. This might be more interesting to revisit in 10 years, but for now it's a pretty underwhelming bottle of Champagne, especially for its current price.

So far, the least compelling vintage of this Cuvee. Primary and young of course, with mostly chalky structure and high riding unripe white and yellow citrus and stone fruit flavors. A little green as well. Fairly one note overall. It’s a good note, and the frame is worthy of the acknowledgment for positive potential down the line, but in its current state, it’s a very good Champagne that doesn’t distinguish itself among the sea of other very good Champagne out there, for a fraction of the price. I would gladly drink it again. I wouldn’t gladly buy it again.
For those holding bottles, it’s worth waiting at least 5+ years if you can… ideally, 10+. 91-92+? points. The 2008 puts a hurtin’ on this 2015.

Mild yeasty/brioche aromas with ripe apples, a bit of cheese, and nuts. Palte with mild yeasty/brioche flavors, tart apples, a bit of meyer lemon and nice mineral streak. Mild bubbles. Nice finish. This is young and in need of some more time but still very tasty.

bright lemon color, alluring nose of apples, pears and soft-edged minerals, sweet mousse already showing, on the palate grand and full, apple notes- a wonderful contrast of sweet centers and Granny Smith peels, pears, rich mousse, with time in glass roasted nuts and a red berry note, smashing length with a long lime-laden finish, there is a lot going on here and it needs a bit of time to come together with more harmony, a brief wait ahead but I expect a magnificent result with a little patience.

Small taste last night, note from memory. Magnum. Good fleshiness, but lackluster weight compared to most vintages. Good but disappointing for what it is.

Dujac and Moreau come to town (Chicago, IL): From magnum. Really didn't like this at all -- it was thin, disjoint, and angular. Not sure what happened here, but I wasn't the only person who remarked on the weirdness of this bottle. And to be clear, there was no discernible flaw here either. Go figure.

Acids on this are bangin. Great drink right now just to check in. Pretty open, bright citrus and green apple. Slight pithiness on the finish that I assume will integrate fine with age.

Beautiful cooked apple and cinnamon on the nose, very much in the lightly oxidative grower style. Sophisticated, delicate palate. Young but surprisingly approachable.

Sthlm Food & Wine Champagne-tastings (Älvsjömässan, Stockholm): (Disgorged in April 2022, 100% Chardonnay from Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, dosage 3.5-4.5 gr/L) Lovely nose showing mandarin citrus, butter and minerals on the still very tight nose. With time in the glass it opens up a bit showing some hints of ginger bread in very nice and pleasant way. Lovely mandarin citrus acidity on the still very youthful palate combined with butter and cream and some candied lemons on the intense and lengthy finish with lime zesty bitterness. (Best 2025-2040)
