Very good substance here. More rustic than finesse. Plenty of fruit and maybe a touch of iron. Medium+ tannin. This should age well for a decade but drinks very well right now too.

Clean. Medium intensity with aroma of cassis iodine violet tobacco vanilla earth and anise.
Dry. Medium alcohol. Medium(+) tannin. Medium(+) acidity. Medium body. Medium(+) intensity with flavour of cassis plum tobacco and anise.
Medium(+) finish. Very good. Drink now suitable for further ageing. Lacks a bit of flesh in the middle. Tons of structure. Needs air and food. Pontifax nailed it.

So...wine #3 of the 2018 Bordeaux release. Surprisingly better than the 2015 and 2016 sampled two years back.....closer in quality to the fine 2014. On nose: clean notes of dried red berries and mineral. On palate: amplified notes from above flavours , as well as classic lead pencil, moderate tannins, cigar tobacco and mild Kona coffee....also, happily, whatever oak is here is woven seamlessly into the mix....creating an approachable wine that CAN age, but is enjoyable after a two hour decant now. 2018 is producing pleasant wines across all spectrums of classification....even an everday cru bourgeois such as this.....$25.00 in Vancouver.

Massor av doft, massor av ektoner och stall, väldigt fin. Bra eftersmak också. Ovädrad lite skarp i smaken. När den vädrats kommer en metallisk not fram som inte riktigt föll mej i smaken, därav det förhållandevis låga betyget trots ovanstående. Kanon till tryckkokt lamm med senap. 3,5+.

Clear medium garnet. Nice mid weight nose, cassis, old furniture and red berry. Dry cassis, earth and spice flavours and a dry balanced light finish.
Very nice nose and flavours but not much concentration. For $25 cdn how serious a wine would you expect. Great QPR.

For the price point and age was very lovely, could drink any day, dark red, fruity nose, light after taste on the tongue. Had with Steak / bake potato
