This wine is sourced from the "Heathcote" vineyard in Victoria (while the winery itself is located 2 hours north of Sydney in Pokolbin. 18 months in French oak barriques (20% new.)
Color: Deep Ruby
Nose: Medium- intensity, notes of red cherries, red plums, white pepper, cocoa powder, light eucalyptus and acacia bark
Palate: Medium intensity, medium+ alcohol, medium- tannins, high acid, red fruits and light pepperiness confirmed, eucalyptus and acadia bark more prominent along with some dungy leafiness
Finish: Medium length with fruit, light oak and earthy notes
Overall for a $25 AUD Shiraz it actually does a pretty solid job, even better that I got this on special for just under $20 AUD. I kinda wish the fruit was a bit more plump and round and the pepper was more prominent but for an inexpensive Shiraz it does the job just fine.

Although Tyrrell's are one of the Hunter's most iconic brands, they also source fruit from other key regions to make wines like this delicious Heathcote Shiraz. Medium red to purple. Alluring aromas of blackberry, cherry, prune, Christmas cake and vanilla pod. Bright and focussed red and black cherry with plush plummy flavour weight mixing with fine tannins on the velvety-soft finish.

Excellent fruit, low tannins; bought in Australia but would buy again if available in the US

Blackberry, cherry fruit with hemp resin, floral and tar notes. Fruity, lively palate with a cushy, spiced finish.
