  • A nice wine made at a really old school winery just southeast of Guerneville and the Russian River that bends around Drake Vineyard and Mays Canyon. A drought year, as I recall, but grown along the cooler western edge of the Russian River Valley. Very rustic. Biodynamic.

Good color with a nose of boysenberry, cherry, and something like shoe leather. Raspberry too. Oak seems subdued. 14.3% Alcohol. Fun to drink a local wine. Enjoy this year and next. Better the first night.

  • A phenomenal smooth zin. Not as zesty as some I’ve had, and I mean that in the best way. Peppercorn, chalk, some sort of dried melon rind, mushroom. Soil. Just fantastic. The owner is great and the property was jaw dropping.
