Prior note still applies in the main. Flavors seems a bit tamer this time around, but everything is still in balance and quite smooth and lush.
Adding two points. After decanting for an hour the cherry and chocolate grew even lusher, but mid palate on notes of oolong and spice box took hold and grew ever stronger unto a nicely pink peppercorn finish. Finish gradually dissolves over time.
Very nice. I think I may have caught this vintage at its sweet spot.
Day 2: Held up well.

Raisinated fruit - especially prunes - espresso grounds, orange peel and dried green herbs on the nose. Lighter on the palate, though the condition of the fruit is unchanged. Pretty good intensity of both flavors and aromas here.
Medium + body, medium - acid and medium tannin. Good long finish and a great pairing with beef bourgignon. Not meant to age any longer than it has. This is a massive negociant producer; but after this, I am curious to try their other wines.

Delightful berry nose. Has lots of life left after 72 hours open. Mostly dark berry, blackberry flavors and a solid acid backbone. Tannins still resolving so the fruit and underlying structure not yet fully integrated. A couple more years in bottle will improve this wine and it is at an attractive price point for routine consumption.

Some green pepper and mocha notes on the nose. Cherries and bright berry fruit on the palate. A little grassy on the finish. Serviceable. For $10 it's probably a good bargain.

A nose of milk chocolate, red berries, and aromatic hay. The palate of cherries and chocolate is delivered smoothly and there's a peppery zing to the lightly leathery finish. A simple structure but it works. Good to drink in the next couple years -this is not age-worthy. Pairs well with hearty foods and ripe cheeses.
Still quite good the second day. The garrigue comes out more, the berries ripen, and everything smooths out a bit. Adding a point and tacking another year or two on the drink window.

Bought 2b from Costco for 10/b; this is #1. No decant, none needed. Dark purple; fragrant berry fruits; nose promises more fruit than palate delivers, good mouthfeel. Nothing wrong, simple, ok for everyday. Held some for 24h under vacuvin without noticeable decline. Serviceable, probably competitive. Quality, age, price: Notable.

Starts with a mouthful of dark fruit but ends quickly with very dry taste. Much better with food. Had this with a homemade meat loaf and liked it much better than when I first tasted it without food. Great value at $10.

Solid nose, concentrated fruit, and modest extraction. It handled similarly to many CdRs. On the downside, a touch confected, and a little too heavy (light on acid). I missed the grip and structure that Mourvèdre often imparts. Best with hearty fare.

Nose: Meadow flowers, a bit gamey, dirty strawberries, ground black pepper. Palate: initially quite tart on the palate that transitions into fruity plums and overripe dark cherries; plush tannins that assert themselves and leave a sweet cherry grip on the mouth.

Wow, totally exceeded my expectations. Lovely ripe dark fruit but not over extracted. Had something of a Priorat about it. Drinking beautifully now so get stuck in. Bargain.

Medium ruby. Berry on the nose. Tasting blackberry. Overall an enjoyable wine, not too complex.

This wine didn't really do it for me. It wasn't horrible, but I've had much nicer wines for the price.
