I really loved this wine. All the round plushness of an oaked char without the oak. Yes, it was a little flabby but I liked it all the same. The nose showed topical fruit (particularly guava), pear and melon, the pallet showed honey, pear, guava, pineapple.

Light gold, bright and clear. Peach, pear and melons on the nose. Very candied fruit-type nose. Medium weight. LOTS of ripe fruit including all identified on the nose along with some lemon. Also some ginger and apple. Got a little metallic tasting on the back end. For me, there was just too much fruit and not enough acidity and minerality. Out of balance and flabby. But it was well made and I can see why it would be a popular QPR wine for fans of this style.

Enjoyed as usual. As the name implies, this isn't one of those overly oaked Chards that can give the varietal a bad name. Crisp and simple, with citrus and green apple on the palate. Has the acidity to pair very nicely with food. A great QPR.

Nice inexpensive unoaked Chard. On the nose some tropical fruits combine with Citrus. On the palate the wine is suprisingly creamy with notes of melon and a bit of grapefruit. A nice simple weekday drink for a hot summer night.

Fans of stark, stainless steel fremented Chardonnays -- the current fad (for better or for worse) -- will enjoy this wine, which starts with pretty floral notes on the nose and continues with medium-bodied flavors of ripe peaches and pears and pineapple, with a hint of mineral and spice on the back palate. It's fairly one-dimensional, but the primary flavors are solid and refreshing. An crisp Chardonnay for hot weather sipping.

I often like to try a nice un-oaked chardonnay, but this wasn't even a real chardonnay! IMHO, a wine should at least have some varietal consistency, but this is beyond "unique". Drinkable, but I'd only buy it again if I wanted to drink a sauvignon blanc (did someone switch the label?!?), in which case, I'd buy a sauvignon blanc!

A wonderful little unoaked chard. Great bang for buck. Grapefruity, melony, tropical nose. A tad harsh in the finish as it warmed up. Love the creaminess.

This wine was nice but one dimensional. Lemon flavors on the nose and palate that are smooth and controlled, just the right amount of flavor. The acidity seemed decent to me, maybe a little weak. It needed something else to add a second dimension, maybe some minerality.

big fan of this. save yourself a return trip and buy more than 1 because this is a very versatile white that's great by itself too. Crisp and acidic and lots of flavor.

Really like this little unoaked CA Chard. Clean. Refreshing. Great fruit. Full of sassy personality. Well worth the affordable price. (D 6; F 7; Cent.)

This is one good, cheap Chardonnay. Nose of Lemon zest and a little pineapple, with a silky smooth feel and crisp acidity on the finish. Definite Patio Pounder, great for the summer ahead.

golden color with a huge nose of pear, citrus, grass and minerals. creamy and explosive, but there's medium+ acidity and lovely grapefruit and mineral flavors and a long finish. i love this unoaked chardonnay. it's just pure, delicious and quite complex.

Blind California Pinot Noir Tasting (Gary's House in Lisle, IL): I loved this wine. It’s nose was all gewurzy and riesling like. The clean, fresh flavors were superb. A beautiful examle of non-oaked US chardonnay, but still not traditionally Burgundian.

Light, fruity and crisp. A different chardonnay - not the oaky, buttery flavor that is so in vogue.
