You must go back to 1928 to taste a wine from Rauzan Gassies this good. Drink from 2024-2050.

89-90 vvPunkte (73% Cabernet, 27% Merlot 13.7% Alkohol) Diskrete Nase, würzig, zeigt etwas Schwarztee, dunkle Blüten, Brombeeren, Rauch. Der Gaumen ist gradlinig, gut strukturiert, die Frucht ist auf den Punkt gereift, wird von einer guten Struktur getragen, die Gerbstoffe markieren, sind etwas flockig. Solider Abgang. Ein guter, ein Tick rustikaler Wein. 2026-2040 (April/Mai 2021)

With a beautiful, deep hue, the wine pops with its floral, dark pit fruit, espresso, smoke, licorice and spice perfume. On the palate the wine is rich, full and with a solid depth of flavor, finishing with layers of concentrated, silky, lusciously textured black, red and blue fruits. Clearly, this is a big step up from pervious vintages. From what I've tasted, you have to go back to 1928 to taste a wine from Rauzan Gassies this good. 91-93

Airoldi - Bordeaux En Primeur 2020 (Quay Restaurant, International Passenger Terminal, Sydney): Farmyard funkiness, cherry and plums, sweet spice, with time it shows a slightly jubey quality and the spice gains a more savoury complexion. This is reflected on the palate where the juicy cherry and plums is more savoury in character, it has slight chalky tannins as well. Time.

Needed coaxing, which brought out a herby, crisp dark and red fruit character, but remained rather cool, neutral and chalky. The palate shows good intensity, delicate chalky notes, some savoury herbs, and toast, and good acidity.

UGCB tasting Bordeaux 2020 Walkaround tasting so in general just short notes (Beurs van Berlage, Amsterdam.): Beautiful bouquet with dark berries and well dosed oak. On the palate the same impressions, good acidity and sticky tannin. Full bodied and a good length. 91 - 92+
