For $9, a good value. Served it at a party and some people complimented it assuming I wasn’t serving them garbage - got’em! Aftertaste can be slightly harsh but after the first glass it’s pretty darn good for $9.

Like a cross between a Rhone rose and Provence rose - lighter than Bandol. Nice fruit notes. More detailed notes to follow; have three bottles left. Good QPR.

Much better than the bottle enjoyed back in June; I didn’t notice the bitterness noted last time. This wine shows best when served lightly chilled and not too cold. Chalky minerals, red blossom, ripe strawberry, spicy raspberry, yellow peach, and juicy watermelon reflect the aromatic and flavor profile. Medium acidity adds freshness. Slightly clipped finish. Worked well with the habanero Gouda, charcuterie and whole grain crackers. No complaints for a <$10 rose.

Mauest gets this right - especially in the recommendation to let this come to room temperature before judging. Served cold (it's rose!), and seemed insipid and watery, with an almost medicinal strawberry flavor dominant. Flavors, texture and finish don't happen until room temperature or above. Sweet red fruits and flowers; strawberry, raspberry and watermelon rind on the nose and palate. Creamy and sweet on the medium long finish. Better on its own than with food.

Great for the money, very pleasant, fruit forward aromas supported with some noticeable minerality. Starts juicy on the palate, but unfortunately, ends with a very unpleasant bitter note. I don’t remember the 2019 version displaying the bitter note. Hopefully, this will subside with additional cellaring.

Slight mineral notes with fruitiness and gentle sweetness. Lingers on the tongue for a moment, allowing for the wine to feel fuller and more complicated.

Appearance: Pale and rose colored, a stunning pink-orange color reminiscent of copper wiring.
Nose: Buckle up. This wine has primary aromas of yuzu, grapefruit, fresh apple, ripe watermelon, and red fruits like strawberry and cherry. The aromas are strong enough to be easily distinguishable, but not so strong as to overwhelm the senses; Bonny Doon is making a lot of promises here, I'm curious if she can deliver.
Palate: This vin gris is dry, low in acidity and tannins, and surprisingly full bodied. The alcohol content is middling, but this wine is so velvety on the tongue that it really isn't noticeable at all. The flavor is intense and pronounced, with primary notes of fresh, sweet strawberries and raspberries taking center stage, followed by peach, pear, and grapefruit. There are secondary notes of lees, but it is fleeting at best. The finish is long and joyous.
Overall, this wine is surprisingly complex, silky, and playful. I expected to taste this California grown grenache based rosé and shrug my shoulders, but what came out of the bottle truly surprised and delighted me; I'm thankful to have a couple more bottles in my cellar. This wine is drinking wonderfully right now, and should probably be drank sooner than later, as age won't do her more justice.

Robust for a rose, reflects a complexity surprising for a rose. Nice flowery nose and smooth finish. More interesting as it warmed up from cellar temp, drink it now. I like this wine.

Smells like good rose. Fresh strawberry, lively. Maybe just a touch of burnt rubber to it? Could just be me. A little bit fatter and fuller on the palate.

This is very well done and oh so French. Strawberry and pastis nose with just that hint of herbaceous bitterness extending to the palate. A nice dense glycerol weight carries things along with a fresh, clean finish to round things off. Nothing particularly Californian about, but it delivers for the price.

The Fifth Annual World's Largest Blind Tasting of American True Rosés: Retail $19. 71% Grenache, 11% Cinsault, 5% Clairette Blanche, 5% Grenache Blanc, 4% Mourvèdre, 4% Vermentino. Medium pink-orange with quite a sweet nose, loaded with peach. Not as inviting initially on the palate, but the fruit really comes in on the finish. I was ready to write this off, but it really recovers.

A solid rose with decent fruit, good acidity, and satisfying finish. Not the best rose out there by any means but a pretty good value.

Reasonable with a quite a bit of body for a Rosé, slightly cloying with a bitter edge.
