Decanted for about 30-45 min. Dark color, mix of red and dark red fruits, medium body, mild acidity, soft tannings. Medium length. Not bad for the price, but nothing impressive neither.

Drank once opened with no decanting or aerator at a restaurant. Could use some air or decanting. First notes that come to mind are herbaceous. Hints of cilantro with a little earth. The wine was dry with sharp tannins. Definitely could use some more time to smooth out the edges. Had with a rib eye steak that was finished over and oak fired grill. As the meal progressed, was getting a little barrel with slight hints of vanilla on the palate. Dry finish overall. Needs more time for this vintage

Pop and pour in Turks; plum and black fruit heavy. Drank smooth and was a delight after the impossible mission of finding decent wine at Beaches. Won’t look for in the future but was tasty and smooth.

Dinner with Steve & Lucie (At their apartment): Slo-oxed for about 30 minutes but could have benefitted from at least a couple of hours in the decanter. The tannins were truly chewy. Too young and closed to fully appreciate what this Napa Bdx blend will ultimately offer. As the dinner progressed, so did the wine. Lots of dark red and blue/black fruits -- dark cherry, blackberry, black currants, cassis, along with spice and oak on the medium to plus palate. Has great potential but needs a couple of years in the cellar, or hours in the decanter, or both. Could easily add 4 or 5 points...

This is a special wine. I have drunk the 13, 14, 17, and this 18. It’s luxurious dark black current wine. Still a bit tight and will be for at least a year. An attractive bouquet and a long wonderful finish. It’s a special day when I open one of these. I like the unique blend. It drinks well with and without food.

Bought 6b for 17/b (and then another 6b) from local eclectic independent shop last week; this is #1. Poured about 2 oz. for a first impression and simply recorked the rest: dark purple, bright and fragrant blackcurrant fruit, good acidity, some oak, good persistence. Drank a glass about 6 hours later with dinner: fruit more muted, longer finish, still too fresh. A glass the next evening after vacuvin approached delicious, and the last glass two nights after that convinced me of its potential--more Left Bank Bdx-like complexity but with more fruit and oak (that convinced me to order the second 6-pack). This should be delicious for years to come; I'll try to wait 1-2 years before opening #2. Stored horizontally in a cool, dark basement since purchase. My evaluation (see earlier posts for my 4-category, non-point rating system): This is outstanding- when considering quality, age, and price.

Ruby red in complexion with pleasant aromas of oak, chestnut, walnut, leather, cherry cola and raspberries. This Bordeaux blend has a good balance of acidity with promising structure. The tannins are grippy with a decent finish.

Nicely restrained for Cali cab. Enjoyable.

Strong and robust wine with long lingering aftertaste. Plenty of tannins and leather and oak. Black fruits and cassis. Good for aging further.

Smooth enough for a Cab, but not real complex. Needed at least 30 minutes to open up

Deep garnet color. Red Bordeaux blend. Smells sweet of cherry, chocolate, oak, and plums. Well structured taste with great flavor through finish.

Meh. Not impressed. Green, herbal finish. Closed. Not much fruit here. You can do much better in 2018 Napa.
