Pleasantly surprised. Was expecting a diluted, nondescript Central Coast Pinot. This one is precise, defined and basically correct. The color is dark for a Pinot. No doubt about the Pinot nose with dark cherry and some musty dirt. The fruit is a bit ripe, kind of candied. A touch of oak. Maybe a touch light on the viscosity. But, a credible if not incredible, mouth coating fruity Pinot that didn’t cost much. ripe black cherry finish.

Not sure why I bought this. Must have had good hype or something but didn’t live up to it. Not bad, not good… just OK. Much better wines available at this price.

I still somewhat like this wine, yes it is a bit dark and too smooth (mega red strikes again) but still has decent Highlands character and balance. It didn't need the mega red but someone in marketing decided to chase Meiomi. Wrong idea

Displays cherry compote aromas and flavors, with plenty of earthy pine, conifer, and herbs. Smooth, full bodied, balanced, with spicy oak complexity. Tasty in a New World kind of way.

Smells like a frog swamp (that's a good thing for a Pinot) Prior comment is from the Mrs... Doesn't smell like fruit, leather or plether nor does it smell like tabacco, but it's fricken delicious!! Simply amazing... period!

I have tasted the last 5 vintages of Hahn SLH pinots and this comes in 5th place. Nose is minerals and cherry, palate is spicy cherry, soft tannins, but lacking acid. Good party wine but not a good value. Drink now.

Henri Bloem, Bloemendaal, autumn tasting: A bit hefty, but acceptable, subtle wood and vanilla, a balanced finish.

Bought as a "mystery wine" from local store. Not impressed. Clearly drinkable but had synthetic feel to the wine. Would not buy again. 88+/-

Heavy handed below average SLH pinot. Dark color and disjointed structure, dense fruit. Terrible QPR @20 at Costco. Would never buy again.
