Half. Mid garnet. Mature, mellow floral notes with a touch of tar and warm leather. Some gentle spice and mature, slightly pruney fruit. Gentley interesting. ***

Half bottle. Mid garnet. Nicely evolved nose with pruney fruit, meaty and floral aromas. Sweet fruited and mellow on the palate, good acidity, fully mature now and drinking well in a mature burgundian style. Some complexity here and a positive finish. Good. ***

This was served blind, and it was delicious. Very smooth, with black cherry, hint of licorice, tar and a smooth persistent finish. I guessed much younger, and this bottle did not reveal any pruny notes or textural flaws.

Half bottle. Full garnet rim to mid ruby core. Nicely evolved nose with pruney fruit, meaty and floral aromas. Starting to show well but still pretty structured with acidity and tannin that finish quite dryly, though with food, in this case, bison steak, it mellows nicely and makes a pleasant drink. Quite long. Good. ***

Tarry, tea classic nose that leads to complex palate with drying tannins. Never really opened up like the Cerretta Barolo did. Less aromatic than id like but still no major flaws. good solid wine...perhaps will deliver more in time.

Color is light to medium garnet with distinct bricking. Nose reveals cherry, strawberry, spice, and a hint of pepper. On the palate, light cherry flavors turn chewy and are framed by spices and the wine finishes with noticable acidity. Has a bit of a dried-up feel about it, but overall fairly enjoyable with food.

Hmm, very orange, cloudy and oxidative. First glass not right but sufficiently interesting. Gave up after that.

Classic rose petal, tar, red cherry with a lot of herbal and woody tones. Complex but a bit chunky.

Very dark red for nebbiolo. Black cherry, tea, lush, large bodied wine with drying tannins. Young and surprisingly round.
