Recent tasting notes indicated that this wine was gone. Apparently this bottle was a a cut above. Clearly not top shelf, but represented well for a $14 wine. Soft bouquet, balanced, decent but reserved fruit. Not for keeping any longer but pleasant tonight.

Disappointing. Red fruits, with some acidity. Slightly dilute with nothing much going on. Worked as a risotto chaser, but I wouldn't ever drink it without food. Won't buy more.

Aromatic, cherry, chestnut, leather, red apple, clove and cinnamon nose. Medium-bodied and elegant palate; fresh acid, medium tannins, long complex finish. 4/5
