This was a pleasant surprise for a young wine. It was full bodied with medium tannins, the fruit was well balanced with wild berries, dark cherries and a hint of cigar box smoke. At this price point you can enjoy this all summer with your favourite cigar or your favourite pie..a la mode.

Quite disappointed after the WS rating. I found it quite unpalatable. Very acidic and tannic, even after a couple of days. Laying the remaining bottles down for awhile and hope they improve.

bold nose of peppers, peppercorn, inky oil, an slight tar-like machinery. Super bright fruits on aggressive palate with asphalt, bitter chocolate, spice and stewed meats. strong tannins. Finishes aggressively too with some bacon fat notes.

Classic Coonawarra nose of blackcurrant, green peppers, tobacco and smoked clove. Interesting and fresh palate with notes echoing the nose. Good tension and balance between elegance, depth and length. Medium to full-bodied structure which is polished at the edges, transiting to a dry and mineral finish. No decanting necessary. Will continue to evolve for the next 2-3 years but this is to be enjoyed within a decade.

Pretty much a pop and pour. Aromas of currant, cherry, green pepper, blackberry and touch of wild game. Flavors of currant, blackberry, sour cherry and earth. Ends with 20+ second finish with currant and blackberry notes. Better than the last time I had this in August. Not 93 points for sure but a very nice wine for the money.

Unfocused and full of green pepper notes. Just the kind of wine I dislike. Costco purchase. Whoever rated this 90 plus is full of it. Will not buy again.

No one will mistake this for a Paulliac, but it was one of the better balanced Aussie cabs I've had in this price range in a while. Plenty of fruit but with acidity and tannin to give 8t some balance and bite. Some black pepper notes coming in to add some secondary character. Will buy again.

Clean. Medium intensity with aroma of cassis cedar dark chocolate espresso and licorice.
Dry. Medium alcohol. Medium(+) tannins. Medium(+) acidity. Medium body. Medium intensity with flavours of cassis bitter chocolate red capsicum and eucalyptus.
Medium(+) finish. Very good drink now suitable for further ageing. Grippy and racy with nice complexity. More old world than ripe Oz. Really nice but WS tends to over score this wine will probably be a top 100

Agree very much w/the review saying green pepper corn notes. Might be better in a year or two. Much more of a food than cocktail wine
