  • Tasted up against the same producers Cairanne and Visan (CDRV) - same vintage. This was slightly disappointing on the evening, being beat by the cheaper Cairanne.
Color is deep ruby. Still a young wine.
Nose is peculiar with ocean/fish scale developing into pork rinds - maybe some flint sparks? I detected some vanilla notes but I don't know if it's been aged in oak.
Palate is muted garrigue and blackberries.
Finish was short/medium. Hopefully, it's a promise of further potential as it matures in the cellar. I will set my drinking window with that presumption.
