Caroline's bash (Windsor): Mid yellow. Ripe nose, kerosine and apparent sweetness of ripe fruit. Attack seems very sweet initially, then the acidity and minerality come in to balance. That said, sweet and simplistic. More of a party quaffer than something for serious consideration. This might well have benefited from a bit of air to pull itself together more. **

Nose: Very riesling-y, green apple cores and limes. Palate: Quite sweet, classic off-dry ries style. V good acidity on the back and sides, would like a bit more spark at the front. Very nice sweet and sour finish. Good, feels like a Mosel, but a little too light for my liking, I'd like a little more oomph. Retails for around £9 - not a horrible price for the quality, but I've had this quality for £7

Delicious entry-level Leitz with lots of zip and lemony minerality. As light on its feet as a Mosel Riesling.
