  • Not as enjoyable as the previous bottle of this wine. Maybe it needed more time in the cellar.

  • Garnet-crimson; black cherries, black currants, raisins, prunes, black licorice, cedar, soil; black cherry, pruney, slightly syrupy, full body, good heat, decent acidity, good structure, firm tannins, lingering finish
Decanted 2 hrs, needed more. Fragrant nose and dark fruit flavours with coaxing led to a firm finish. Good extraction of the skins. Enjoyable on its own and with roast venison. Will buy again.

  • Deep purple color. Alcohol on the nose and black fruit and plum. Needed an hour or so to open up and it improved a lot. Still though the aroma intensity is relatively low. Has a nice silky and rich mouth feel. Good length.

  • Very negatively surprised.

First sip when opening the bottle was way too closed.
Decanted for a few hours and it opened up quite nicely. Nothing particularly impressive for an Amarone. Kinda dull compared to most to be honest. A bit silky and sweet.
Wine died and taste completely disappeared after 6 hours out. Bizarre for such a young wine. I personally wouldn’t buy again.

  • Amarone in the classic style with a heaping helping of plum compote, cassis, raisin, leather — extremely seductive. Alcohol is through the roof, but the layers and layers of fruit hold it in check. Still young, this should be fantastic in 10 years or 20 — as if anyone could wait that long.

  • God vin. Tørket frukt - mørke kirsebær. Lang ettersmak - nesten som en ripasso. Ikke helt min smak- mangler balanse og harmoni.

  • Alk. 16,5%.

    Corvina 35%, Corvinone 35%, Rondinella 20%, Diverse 10%.

— keine Trinkmarmelade. So mag ich Amarone. (93-94+)

  • Dark, almost black as I poured into the decanter. Took us about 2,5 to finish it, and it changed quite alot in that time. Immediate dark fruit and alcohol on the nose, developed into notes of ripe fruits, flowers and forest. On the palate it started fruity and juicy, ended with sophisticated hints of earth , vanilla and licorice . Full body and long. Had it with a cheese platter and stranger things (the netflix show :p ) . Evening well spent

  • I let this wine decant for approx 1 hour & when poured this wine showed an amazing deep garnet colour. This wine provided high intensity aromas of sweet berries. On the palate this was a big wine with big body, flavour, sweetness & finish. Overall this was a very sweet wine that my buddy Robert described as “porto like taste” which truly described this wine. This wine would be great at the end of the evening without food as a “sipping” wine.
