Pleasant easy to drink food wine which stood up to our spicy Cinco de Mayo dinner. Nice fresh fruit and floral in the nose and a flavor to match. nice balance and a medium length finish.

My favorite Gewurz and this is a great vintage for it. Gorgeous nose, so floral. Well balanced, fully dry with a great mix of ripe fruit and acidity. Easy to drink but worthy of contemplation.

Jasmine and beeswax in the nose lead to lychee, apricot, honeysuckle, and a bit of grapefruit rhind in the mouth. Nicely balanced through the moderate length finish. Wish I had more!

Lovely gewurz. Elderflower and lychee in spades, combined with enough acid and mineral tension to keep this from getting flabby. Nice structure and could see this improving in the short term, but lovely to drink now.

It's been a long time since we've tasted a California Gewürztraminer this good. It's clean in the mouth and on the finish. The only thing I want is just a little more depth in the spice. This is a really nice wine and effort for Bedrock.

Opened last minute to replace an underperforming bottle from another producer, this was up to the task. I have always wanted to like the Bedrock Gewurztraminer more than I really did, but the 2019 cleared the bar in anticipation and execution. It’s more of everything than than a 2018 I had not long ago. Where the 2018 was all about the palate expression, this vintage also showed a much more Gewurztraminer aromatic profile, all pineapple and lychee. Richer and deeper on the palate than prior editions, it also carried through much stronger to the finish, leaving a spicy aftertaste.

Floral nose with a lot of honeysuckle. Sweet honey, candied ginger, and honeydew melon on the palate. Plush pear finish with a butter texture and a long, stony finish. Very nice, but drink soon.

Wonderfully fragrant nose of wet stone, honey, and spice. Unctuous palate, with nice depth and floral notes. Just a touch of harshness on the back end as it warms. Excellent Gewürtz.

Moderate golden color, dry flinty gewurtz in nose that is very present, full of flavor that rolls in mouth and lingers but not sweet or flowery. Dry Alsatian in style. Very enjoyable straight out of bottle from cooling unit.

Medium gold in color. Having a hard time coming up with the right way to describe the nose. It’s not a powerful nose, but there’s a lot going on. It has a bit of a plastic/petrol aroma but does not follow the normal Riesling characteristics when I use those descriptors. Then followed by lychee and mango – at end there are honeysuckles, sweet spices, and a bit of mineral. Medium bodied, dry and fruity, and a bit lower on the acidity than I was expecting. Palate is mango, cantaloupe, and lemon. The finish is long with hard lychee candy, sweet spices, hard minerals, and a yeasty/bready note that I would more associate with a Cava.
I normally like a bit more acid and some R/S in my Gewurz, but this is an outstanding showing for a California Gewurz. Very refreshing with a nice depth to it.

Great dry gewurz. Redeems bedrock a little for me as I did not like the cab sauv I tried previously. Lychee if I really think hard, but really more just some tropical fruits, floral, a little spice. I feel like more going on in the nose than palate. 13.5% alcohol but feels a little hotter to me for some reason. Low acid. Overall enjoyed, would buy again. I’d maybe like a little lower alcohol/off dry better for this wine.

Rather thin and light. Best without food. Global warming has made growing this grape in California something of a mismatch in climate.

Very tasty. Seems best when served cold. A bit of alcohol shows in the aftertaste. Otherwise a nice representation of Gewürtz by an American winery.
