Nicely balanced black fruits, moderate baking spices, low-medium oak. I've opened probably 5 bottles since summer 2022 and enjoyed every one. Not profound; just delicious.

Just doesn’t do anything for me. Might be due to tasting after a Silver Oak, but even after letting the palate reset and drinking plenty of water, this just comes across as flat.

Parfaitement balancé avec un fini fin, un tanis très doux en bouche parfaitement sucré. Legerment boiser et aromatiser avec gout délicat de fruit de bois parfait pour acompagner un rotis de palette.

Different vintage but once again decanted bottle was opened for over 2 hours and boy was this singing. Opening notes are purple fruits and a touch of wood in nose. In mouth the wine starts with dark sweet plum skin fruit on the nose and interweaves worn leather and cedar before returning back to cherry.
In mouth the wine is youthful, acidic and rich. Tannin laden mid palette and finish the wine is just a puppy. Worth holding for another few years.

Vanilla oak bomb. Does seem to have decent balance or fruit, acidity and tannins but not my taste. Someone gave me as a gift so no regrets but wouldn’t order again.

- Brick color and aromas of plastic and black currant. It's balanced and has flavours of black pepper, blackberry, cherry and chocolate with a medium/full body. Juicy texture with a long finish - This wine is young. I probably should have waited to open is. I had a small taste via Coravin. Many of the 2019's are approachable but this one needs time.

PNP. More approachable and elegant than the 2018 showing vibrant notes of black currants and baked cherry with finer notes of chocolate, tobacco and black pepper. A balanced profile on the palate with a velvety mouthfeel and fine, dusty tannins on the medium-long finish.

beautiful napa cab with fresh ripe fruit, good acidity and heavy french oak. Will drink best in at least 5-10yr, still good now esp more european tastes.

Decent bottle. Definitely needed decanting. Big fruit on the nose, but not very complex overall. Ok bottle, but do t know of it worth $70.00 retail. Quintessa this wine is not.

PNP. Very very deep magenta color. Black currant, black cherry compote, bitter chocolate, jasmine, and baking spice on the nose. Smooth, tongue drying palate. Firm tannins on the medium long finish. Extracted, but a decent QPR.

Dark purple color. Low intensity nose of blackberry, oak and stewed plum. Young, but already showing promise. Complex tertiary notes of oak, black licorice and chocolate. Medium+ intensity, mouth coating tannins, good acidity and a long pleasant finish.

This is a step from 2018 and wow this is good. This had a powerful nose of dark blackberries, currents, violets, dark chocolate bay leaves, tobacco and cedar notes. The palate was full bodied with lush dark fruits, fine tannins, crushed stones, a velvety mid-palate which showed a persistence towards a spicy finish. 93+

Opaque, dark ruby colour. Concentrated nose of currants, violets, tar, toast, and raisin. Weighty palate with tarry, dried fruit flavours, notable tannin, acid and alcohol, all in good balance. It comes close to being over-the-top in style but reigns it all in for an appealing finish. 4.5/5

was a PnP from cellar. Too young, too acidic, not integrated or softened yet. Either lots of air, or let it sit for a couple of years

Heavy oak on palate with notes of cedar and chocolate being most prominent.
Opened up to black fruit, pepper, strong but fairly well integrated tannins
Oak a bit too overbearing

Okay, but not as interesting as I hoped. The wine didn't justify the price. Maybe try it again after a few years of aging.

Coombsville Vintners and Growers Accociation (Napa): Soft tannins, medium/big body, medium/long finish, $70 retail, a real buy, nothing new here except I have owned 4 previous vintages of this producer.
