This may have a storage issue. Ripe plum nose with a hint of cardboard. Plenty of acidity, even a touch of citrus orange. Packs a punch at nearly 16% alcohol, but not particularly even nor smooth.

Ripe, fruity, lingering acidity. Struggled for the secondary flavors. Always possible that it's my palate or dodgy storage but I couldn't get to the previous ratings.

On the nose I get sweet plum and blueberry. Hints of smoked meat and greenness too. The palate mostly follows through on the nose, but the alcohol shows considerably. A nice drink, but I had higher expectations for this.

Smoky and fruit centric. I have had the bottle open only about 90 mins but it hits the spot. Listed booze on bottle @ 15.8%, perhaps notable in some of the aromatic, that also features some funk, olive, big white flower and sweet leather. Mix all of that up, it's quite a bouquet. Palate is pretty fruit driven, reminding me squarely of a Saxum with the fruit profile, almost a concentrated flamboyant note. It works for me, all in, as it's a cool fall night, it's after dinner and the wine kind of warms and comforts. I don't think I would age this wine any further, as the fruit and weight is all in the right place, granted in a CA new world style. Drink now.

California tasting with the "No Name" wine club in Copenhagen. (Kenneths place): Nose: Yoghurt, barnyard, gooseberries, pee, roses and lavender.. What a combination :-) Palate: Creamy and rounded plum fruit with a little coffee. Does lack a little acidity to maintain the balance but overall a nice wine. The alcohol is clearly present but is currently not owerpowering the flavours.

Dark fruits on the palate and a syrupy mouthfeel. For a very high alchohol level of 15.8, its very well hidden. I guessed about 14.7. A big syrah with fruit that will really show its stuff in a year or two. A "soon to be great" syrah.
24 hours later.....1/2 btl remaining, re approached. A cotton candy nose now evident. Stronger notes of blueberry fruit on the palate. For some reason the alcohol is more evident. I would have not expected this. It will be intriguing to see where this is a year from now.

Enjoyed this more than expected - it was big (almost 16% abv) but didn't seem over the top. Nice fruit balanced with tannins that seemed to add structure but not too much bite, followed by interesting spicy and exotic flavors and aromas.

dryer and spicy, not lush but more layered and austere

Still young, not bad, but I can't quite place some of the tastes in this wine.

Big Syrah with interesting notes of eucalyptus or maybe even menthol on the palate.
