Hated this the 2nd time around. Heavy on the palate, really needs more acidity. Has some interesting syrah characteristics but tastes too much like cheap white zin to my taste.

Darker than many roses I have had previously. Light red berry aromas on the nose along with a hint of spice. Could have used a touch more acidity on the palate but overall an enjoyable dry rose.

Appearance: Peachy-orange, slightly opaque, muddled darkish-medium pink. Muddy and sort of dirty looking. Sniffed: Very dry and brightly acidic. Darker fruit - plum. But fairly flat overall; one dimensional. Taste: Soft and full! Not very acidic or bright as it is sniffed, but muted. Very little heat (none on the palate or tongue, but some in the throat and nose, bizzarely) virtually no tannins and no texture as a result. Thin bodied and very light mouthfeel. A bit sour, with a bitter tinge. Plummy. This is more like juice than wine, almost. Disappointingly simplistic.

After picking out the shards of glass embedded in the brie after the prosecco slicing, the rose came out. We were all pleasantly surprised at how much we liked it. We didn't feel it was sweet at all and it definitely had Syrah-like characteristics (spice, etc). It was definitely enjoyable.

Nose of strawberries and a little orange. Sticky sweet mouthfeel on its own, went great with seafood (scallops and crab) as that brought out some tartness and cut through the sweet. Fantastic summer wine.

Good - not too sweet but lacking in fruit maybe?

Berries and rubbing alcohol. Completely dry. Low acid. Terrible hot finish. Surprised at Gaffner and sad to have 2 more bottles of this.

Strawberries all around. A little vegetal. Not my favorite of theirs, but still stands above many similar wines.

Very dry. Very nice nose for a rose. Not overly impressive overall, though.
