Delicious. Bread, floral notes, and red apple on nose. Full bodied, this definitely saw some oak :-). But — the fruit shows through on the palate which shows balance and a magnificent finish. Not the best Lauren, but still so so good.

Tasted head-to-head against Mount Mary Chardonnay from Australia. No comparison. The beautiful toasted brioche and minerality of the Aubert easily won out for all. Still improving after 1.5 hours and then gone. Might have rated higher with longer decant. Be sure to smell as much as you taste, because the aroma is oh so wonderful.

An awesome expression of a classically inspired Chardonnay. Predominant lemon zest but with virtually no acidic counter reaction or tartness. Nose is more barrel wood than fruit. The in mouth expression is lemon but with an ....oh so balanced acidity. The flavors at mid pallete move onto slight tangerine, wet copy paper, slight vanilla and almond nut. The finish is so long. I am still tasting this after 1 minute.
One of the greatest Aubert Lauren's I have had.

Opened and left standing and chilling for two hours before tasting (Zalto-style Chardonnay glass). In a terrific place right now: Rich flavors of yellow plum, white tea, oak, and lemon. Impressive depth. A classic.

Decanted for an hour and chilled to about 50 degrees F. Lots of lemon pulp and zest, focused acidity, sweet/sour mouthfeel. I recommend a two-hour decant right now: This wine needs time. And then, it's really worth your time...so complex and fun to enjoy over a couple of hours!

A fascinating, lovely wine. Needs about 2-3 hours to open up right now, and then there's creamy white fruits, vanilla, zesty yellow and green citrus, and a rich oak backbone with strong acidity. A terrific vintage for Lauren!

Pale yellow. Nose initially reminded me of Sauvignon Blanc. It opened somewhat to vanilla and citrus. Taste was all that and more. Lovely mouth, closed/shy nose. Still a little lacking. But good.

Yellow with greenish edge. Nose is oak, fruits hidden. Taste is vanilla and other oak tastes. Let it age a few years minimum. Lowest I’ve scored a Lauren, but expect it to open with time.

Wet stones and golden fruit. Needs a little time to fully get there.

Always a great wine, Lauren is probably my favorite of the Aubert lineup. This did not disappoint

what can you say about Mark Aubert's Lauren estate wine other than this is the best Chard made in CA and on par with the best in Burgundy.
