  • The ‘20 Faconnieres is stunning. The nose was intensely perfumed with dark red to black berry fruits, violets, earth, sweet spices and a hint of dark chocolate. On the palate, it is medium plus in body, showing really nice concentration, and velvety in mouth feel. I found dark red to black fruit and earth tones, leading into a long finish adding in violets and sweet spices. There is a lot of youthful, but fine grained tannin at this stage, and the wine needs some time to settle down. With more air exposure, the wine became tighter and less expressive on the palate.

  • Sappy red fruits and fine tannins. The stems are well integrated. Lots of energy on the palate and very long. This is really enjoyable and recommended. I bought some more. Give it 6-8 years.
