The bottle was given to me back in 2007 and I've had it in my cellar since. I'm glad I did not have it earlier. While only a Vin de Bourgogne, it appears from the past reviews that most may have drunk it too early to show its stuff. The color was a light rose red with slightly bricked edges. Nose was roses, cherries and dust. Tastes were primarily the same with very good balance and nice velvety tannin on the finish. Not a great Pinot but very nice drinking. I wish I could figure out the inexpensive French Pinots—which are ready to drink and which can be improved by cellaring….my opinion on this one is obvious that 4 years of cellaring improved the wine.

This wine was more appropriate as vinegar on my salad then as wine in my wine glass. On the nose was sour cherries. Very thin and weak with no structure or body. Very tart and acidic, not like any Pinot Noir that I have had before, really reminded me of vinegar. Would never buy this wine again.

Very pale, light ruby color. Nose of tart cherry and strawberry (almost Beaujolais-like carbonic maceration character?). Candied fruit on the palate, short, uneventful. Not Burgundian at all. I would swear there is some carbonic maceration here. You can do better for $12, not recommended.

Opened at holiday party. Tasted with the leftover bottles the next day. Not so good. Brownish color. Wife described it as "swill" - that's about right.

Not an expensive bottle but not worth what I paid. It was not unpleasant, but it had no fruit and was very very thin. Had to really suck to taste any complexity, and the nose was a bit of rubbing alcohol. Totally meh and will not buy again.

Salmon rosé color - extremely light. Closed nose, with an almost Beaujolais candied red fruit note. Very thin, a little tart. Light body, with red cherries. A pleasant simple quaffer. $16

Light, thin, tannic, sour in a very bad way, no fruit. Even at 10.99 this is not a good value. Don't buy it. I don't even think I want to cook with this.

Light ruby, rustic and green on the nose with intense underlying cherry fruit, acidic and biting on the attack but mellows a little to show ripe simple red and black fruits, ripe fruit and noticeable tannins on the long then expected finish

This had to be a spoiled bottle or this is some really bad Pinot. Bitter and watery right out of the bottle. Little or no fruit. Tried to enjoy some very nice Alaska salmon but this particular pinot did not compliment this meal at all. Poured it down the drain next morning!!

This wine was terribly disappointing. I guess the trend for many big name vineyards it to expand, expand, expand until they no longer have a handle on their low-end wines. Or perhaps, even more unfortunately, Latour Vineyards thinks this will sell well in the U.S. I understand this wine was far from ready to drink, but I like to sample at least one bottle early. This wine was so high in tanin that it smelled turpentinish. The nose was bitter, so I really couldn't locate the fruit aroma. The taste was thin, no back end. Like I said, I expected better, even for $15.

LL winery - Beautiful nose, expresses notes of red fruit with earthy undertones. The wine has a crispy acidity well-balanced by dry tannins. To be enjoyed 2009-2010.

This wine has ashamed your name, Louis Latour!
Almost undrinkable thin and very light-colored juice. DO NOT BUY THIS CRAP!

Light tasting, very little tannins, subdued. Hint of strawberry. Totally flat on third day.

Le Pinot Crappy. Watery, no better than a bad Beaujolais. Latour shouldn't stoop to this level.
